Taking count of what you eat is a good idea to cope with depression. A good diet can affect a person’s mood and energy to a large extent. So eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and get regular meals, even if you don’t feel hungry, try eating in short intervals, like a piece of fruit, to keep you going.

Recognize what is Troubling You: Try to recognize situations that have contributed to your depression. Once you identify what has caused you to feel the way you feel talk about it with a caring friend. Talking is a great way to release feelings and receive some understanding.
As soon as you remove the thoughts and feelings out of your system, switch your attention to something positive. Connecting to friends and family can help relieve depression. Don’t hesitate from asking out for help, speak about it to someone you trust or your doctor and try to focus on the good.

Express yourself & identify good things: A person’s creativity and sense of fun get limited to depression. Use your imagination into activities like painting, drawing, doodling, sewing, writing, dancing, composing music, etc.

Depression can make you notice only the negative, make a conscious effort to notice the good things in life. Try to notice one thing, then try to think of one more to get distracted from all the pain.

Get Enough Sleep:
